Dinant, Belgium

On the last day of our Spring break we decided to take a drive with the Vastines to Dinant, a little gem in Belgium in the province of Namur.  It was a gloriously sunny day (rare here) and we were ready to soak it up!

I was in the car with Wendy and cringed when I saw we had to drive through this...I was a little scared our Volvo wouldn't make it!

It made it!  shoo!

We rode 100 feet up to visit the citadel (in a tightly-packed cable car!) and see some amazing scenery!

Meuse River

Very windy up top!

Inside the citadel was a weird exhibit I guess demonstrating how life used to be.  It was a bit strange, dusty, and very old but we got a few laughs out of it.

Like Hugh Hefner himself in the back bedroom.....

Then we had to walk in this area that was tilted from a previous bomb attack....it was definitely hard to walk in and then the lights went out!  A little scary....

The nice surprise we got was the Disney sand sculpture display.  They were all great!

Ariel looks a little scared there...:)

Next up was another beautiful church to visit...The Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame

May be the only time those three are sitting quietly....

Just breathtaking!!

Saxophones lined the bridge because this is where Adolphe Sax, the inventor, is from.

We had a great day in beautiful Dinant with the Vastines...it's always fun to see new things especially when the weather is this good!!
