Dusseldorf, Germany

We followed the Hamlets to Dusseldorf for Memorial day weekend (after Kade's little ER visit).  It's more of a business town, so not a lot to see or do, but enough for a couple days.  It was a nice, relaxing trip that we didn't feel like we had to run everywhere to see things.  The weather was great, and we all got a little refill on our Vitamin D!

Rhine River

Rheinturm-a telecommunications tower, tallest building in Dusseldorf

A Gehry building-by famous architect Frank Gehry

Preslee & Caroline

German pretzels! Yum!

The altbier (beer) was great!  As you can see, the guys enjoyed it.

A cruise on the Rhine...with Theresa & Wendy

The tower and more Gehry buildings.

St. Lambert with the "twisted spire" is the mother church of Dusseldorf.

Little E liked the cruise

What the he** kinda parade is this????  That's what we said when the kids yelled "parade!"

Weird....

Here's your schnitzel Paps!!  It was very good!!

Brat & Kraut

Views from the tower

Kade was a little freaked out

State Parliament

We had a great time and some great food with great friends, can't ask for more than that!!
