Christmas Day....then Back to Belgium

Christmas day is always a busy one for us.  We start early in the morning and go all day.  The kids have so much fun and we enjoy spending what little time we can with all of our families.  We started the morning opening the gifts that Santa brought and having our traditional breakfast of yummy sausage balls!

This was the first Christmas for E where she enjoyed unwrapping gifts. She only had patience for a few but that was ok, next year will even be better!  It's always fun when your babies can start to enjoy Christmas morning :)

This was her face when she thought she just got an iPod touch 5......
And THIS was her face when she realized it was an iPhone instead!!  She has been asking for one for a while, but since we live in Belgium and have to pay significantly more for an unlocked phone, we always said no.  This year she didn't even ask for one, so we thought it would be a fun surprise....and what else do you get teens these days??

Kade loves his tech gear too!

Drake was just Ninja Turtle crazy this year!  Everything comes back around, doesn't it?

The BIG surprise of the day was the 4-wheeler that they all got.  They love spending time on the Keown farm and this will be icing on the cake for them!  They will have lots of fun this summer (safely!!!) riding this all over!

I think she was a little upset that the cookies were almost gone.  Santa must have really liked them!  She finished them off though!

We left a big mess in Gran's living room!

Drake just loves taking family photos :).  He was ready to head out the door, hence the spiderman gloves!

Next we were off to Momaw's to celebrate with over 70 of the Adkins family clan!

Each group has to open their gifts at the same time.  It's pretty crowded in Momaw's living room.  I guess that's why Mike decided to sit ON someone to open his gift!  I have no idea what they are all laughing at, I must have missed that.

The kiddos with their wonderful Momaw!!  We are so excited that she is planning on coming to visit us in Belgium!

Every family member has their own stocking, embroidered by the Adkins sisters.  They are beautiful and I really want to keep ours! :)

Grammy and Paps' house was next!  We got to relax a little (not too long because the kids REALLY wanted to open their gifts) and get things ready for the next family party.

Miss Avery!!!

Kendra is determined to get that gift!

Drake got a fart gun!  He got a fart piano from Santa that morning, so he was one happy dude!

He's Kentucky Wildcat crazy!

She liked Kendra's gift the best! :)

Helmets for the 4-wheeler!

Sweet Kendra!

She just had to put that Duck Dynasty shirt back on!

The ladies in red!

Group shot!  Well, we tried.
Preslee, Emerson, Kendra, Kade, Kolby, Drake, Avery, and Reece

The last place of the day was at our Aunt Cheryl's house to celebrate with the Wroe family!

She was excited about that baby doll!  It pees, so the other kids had a ball with that!

Emerson likes playing with the doggy

Our last week in the states was packed full of fun as well.  We had more Christmas activities, the boys got to hunt with Daddy, TWO fun birthday parties (Gran's surprise and Emerson's), and an exciting New Year's Eve night with friends.

My sister and family came into town the day after Christmas.  We went to dinner and the kids enjoyed putting together the gingerbread tree.

Kendra doing E's nails.  She loves to put polish on!  She doesn't like the drying process, but she's getting there :)

The boys had a chilly morning going hunting.  Kade begs to go every November, so it was great that they had a jr hunt while we were home for the holidays.

She asked for beats for next year..:)

NYE was a blast!  We celebrated with our friends who drove down from Cleveland and my brother and sister-in-law.

Sadly, it was time to go back to Belgium....:(  Seems like it is getting harder and harder to leave the states.

We had a terrific time in Kentucky!  We appreciate everyone housing us, feeding us, accepting ALL my deliveries :), driving to see us,  babysitting for us, and being very supportive.  We love our family!
