Preslee turns 12!!

Renae and Shayla arrived the day before Preslee's birthday with gifts in tow from the states!

Then the next weekend we were off to London to keep the party going!  We luckily had some great friends and family joining us on the trip!

First day fun...a little Harry Potter action, yummy Mexican, Leicester Sqare, and, of course, we couldn't pass up the ever-so-delicious Cinnabon!!

Day 2 started out with a trip over to Covent Garden Hotel for Preslee's tea party!

The girls got to have some yummy hot chocolate while the moms drank (more than one pot of) tea :)

The tea was delicious!

The food spread is to die for...the clotted cream & scones alone are worth a trip to London!

They even surprised Preslee with a birthday cupcake.  She tried to eat it, but was already very stuffed from all the scones!

The day continued with Matilda the Musical.  It was a super cute show, perfect for the girls.

The day ended with Wicked!  My favorite theatre show to date (I've seen it 4 times!) and Preslee loved it!  She wanted to go the next day to see it again!

We even got to meet a few of the actors after the show!

The Super Sleuths

On our last day in London, we had a few things on the agenda.  First was our treasure hunt mission.  It sounded cute and fun...at the beginning.  We were given several clues that took us around a part of London and at the end we would find the treaure.  Well, we did most of the clues and it was taking us awhile so when we got to one that we just couldn't figure out (and there was a Krishna festival kind of in our way) we decided to move on to our next thing on the agenda....  But the girls were giving us a few cute poses and we started calling them the Super Sleuths (although the moms were the real sleuths :))

One of the clues was Edith Cavell from Brussels, that is the nurse who the hospital where I had Emerson is named after.

Next up, the British Museum.  This was a request from their teacher.  She emailed us moms and asked if we would take the girls here.  Of course we had to do what the teacher said!!  The girls all moaned and groaned about going, but when we went they were actually interested.

We got to see the Rosetta stone!

And all the greek stuff that Ms. Laphkas requested that we see.....

After the museum, the moms got to do a little shopping and we caught up with Renae and Shayla...they had been busy all weekend seeing the sites.  We had a great time in London and, as always, can't wait to go back!
