Gran came at the perfect time! Kristen left the day after we had the baby and Gran came that same day. We were so glad to finally see her! Mike picked her up from the airport and she came straight to the hospital to see the baby. Gran was such a huge help while I was in the hospital and the rest of her visit! She got the kids ready and off to school and made sure they were fed. It was so great because then Mike could stay with me at the hospital. He would stay the night then get up in the morning to go help get the kids to school, come back to the hospital, and then go home to put the kids to bed. And in between he was running the kids back and forth to the hospital because they missed Mommy and Emerson. I have to also mention my great friend Theresa, she helped us out a lot too with running the kids around. She was always there to help if we needed her!
My Mom was wonderful the whole time she was here. She did laundry constantly and made all the meals. Things would have been chaos if she wasn't here, we probably would have had McDonalds for dinner every night! She practically did not leave the house for two weeks! But she never complained! I just felt bad that she was in Europe for the first time and had to sit at the house, but that's ok because she will have plenty more trips over here I hope! She loved Tuesdays because I get a food delivery of organic fruit, veggies, milk, eggs, and meat. We don't always know what we will get so she was always excited to see what was in the boxes. Then she was off planning on how to cook what we received!
After two weeks of Gran being here, Aunt Brittiney arrived! We decided the first thing we would do was to take Mom to Paris. So we got up really early on Sunday to drive to Paris for the day. We did a bus tour which made it easier to get around to see different sights and made it easier with the baby. Yes, Emerson got to go to Paris at two weeks old!!
