Summer Holiday 2013

We started out the visit with a birthday pool party for Easton!

Then Mike and I were off to rainy Miami for 4 days.  It rained and rained but we still had a good (kidless) time!

Then Daddy had to go back to Belgium for 3 weeks!  We missed him lots but tried to keep busy.  First up was Hancock Co. basketball camp.  They got to play on the same court that mommy and Daddy did!  I think they enjoyed it!

Then it was off to Lexington...visiting family, 4-H camp, and Kade's basketball camp at the University of Kentucky.

The kids were only allowed to get one item autographed and we had bought Kade a ball to have signed.  But after most people had cleared, we cheated a bit....sending Kade down with his jersey to get it signed and we lucked out with a pic too!  Not sure about that shirt Nerlens....???

While the camp was going on, they announced that Coach Cal was in the hall for autographs.  Gracie and I took off with Kade's ball to have it signed.

Kade was most excited about seeing Anthony Davis.  He played with the kids a little, but he's a big timer now so he wasn't there long.

Kade got his autograph and then he snuck back down to get a picture autographed.....bad parenting??  

Kade was so happy Paps got to see him at camp!  Thanks for coming Paps!

Emerson was at camp too.  Can you tell she's a little bored?

While Kade had basketball camp, Preslee was off to 

4-H camp.  She had a good time with her cousin Claire!

We were all ready for a fun weekend in Chicago....shopping, eating, and seeing Taylor Swift!

Getting ready for the road trip!  Gran was coming along and we were going to pick up my sis and her girls, and also my friend Windy was going to meet us there!  Fun!

Daddy was finally back and the kids were excited to see him but a little more excited for the Hancock County Fair....the reason my kids LOVE summer in Kentucky!  We have to always schedule our trip around this event!

E is trying to win a goldfish!  One of the boys actually did win one and we had to put it in Momaw's pond.  Don't think they would let us bring him back to Belgium!

Kendall and Preslee were brave enough to enter the talent contest at the fair.  They did a great job and won 100 bucks!

Poor little dude was pooped after 3 days at the fair.  He won this snake and has been sleeping with it ever since!

Off to Cleveland!

I had a great night out with my girls!  Seems like I never left!

Preslee had a great night with her friends too.  My friend Ally was nice enough to host a slumber party with Preslee and her friends.

And this is Drake's best friend Gabby.  They were inseparable when we lived in the states.  I'm glad they didn't forget each other :)

We LOVE going back to the states and visiting our friends and family!  It's one of the best things about living abroad....going home!  Everyone can't wait to see us and they all take the time out of their lives to fit us in.  They help out with housing us, babysitting, and anything else we need!  We couldn't ask for better friends and family!  Love them all!
